Tourist routes Collevecchio (“ the Old
Hill”) lays on a sweet hill, in a
very quiet site. Le Cerque dell’Est, is in a central position inside the
country property Le Cerque, at 1 Km from the village, far from the noise of
the people, the sight of the houses and the light of the streets. It is the ideal resort for resting a bit
between the one-day trips for visiting Rome or the wonderful cities of
center Italy (Toscana, Umbria, Lazio, Marche). Collevecchio is very near to
the crossroads of the territory of four big cities (Rieti, Roma, Viterbo,
Terni), between the regions of Lazio and Umbria. The railroad (connection
to Roma and to International Fiumicino Airport) runs near the river Tevere,
8 km from Le Cerque dell’Est: we could
drive you to the station. We may suggest a lot of
one-day trips, by car or by train, depending on your main interest: art,
archeology, nature, handicrafts, gastronomy. If you need only easy
and relaxing trips, here are some examples. 1) Mountains, mushroms,
strawberries, pic-nic area and old churches: 20 km. 2) The magnificent pre-roman churches
(Vescovio, Ponzano, Castel S.Elia) Distances: 16 – 20 - 35 km. 3) The minor roman churches of Sabina.
Every year there is a winter season
of poliphonic concerts in these churches and in the Vescovio cathedral. 3) Civita Castellana (the mosaic front of
